Web meeting: Zoom webinar (Advanced registration is required)

Since 2005, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the International Organization for Migration have held international forums to introduce good practices and agenda in initiatives to deepen understanding the issues regarding integration of foreign nationals among Japanese society.
As of the end of June 2021, the number of foreign residents of Japan amounts about 2.82 million . Due to differences in language and customs, some foreign residents in Japan face obstacles in their lives, such as not being able to understand guidance from municipalities on necessary information for daily life, inability to receive support information, and not being able to visit medical institutions properly. In addition, the lingering outbreak of novel corona virus diseases (COVID-19) has given various problems to people's life.
At this 17th forum, we will discuss mainly healthcare access, which is particularly needed amid the widespread COVID-19. Under the overall theme of "Healthcare and Foreign Residents in Japan", focusing on utilization of medical interpreters, the forum will invite experts from Japan and abroad to provide opportunities to share their views and good practices, as well as discussions by panelists.
We are sincerely hoping for your participation.
